Pizza and Porter

International Coffee Day, celebrated on October 1st and Beer and Pizza Day is October 6th so we wanted to kick start October with the best of both worlds, a Mocha Porter to go along with our pizza.

This blend of “beer meets coffee” is the perfect way to sit back, relax and enjoy the world’s two most favourite beverages. We tried the Mocha Porter from Granville Island Brewing featuring JJ Bean Decaf Dark Roast Coffee and cocoa. This smooth Porter paired great with our Donair Pizza. 

Here’s how it tasted: JJ Bean decaf dark roast coffee, real cocoa and roasted malts greet you up front, with lightly bitter hops notes lingering behind. 

It was a great dark beer and good taste. Wish there was just a little more mocha flavor, but then again we are Huge Mocha fans.
