
Moon milk has its roots in East Indian culture, warm milk sometimes called "haider" or "masala" doodh, is commonly made with almonds, turmeric, cinnamon, cardamom, nutmeg, dried rose petals, and other herbs and spices. The warm milk itself has sleep-inducing amino acids and it aids in helping soothe and relax you if you drink it prior to going to bed.

Golden Cashew Moon Milk
My husband swears by this one.
INGREDIENTS
2/3 cup Cashew milk
2 tsp ground Turmeric
1 tsp ground Ginger
1/4 tsp Black pepper
1 tsp Maple Syrup
Lavender Almond Moon Milk
INGREDIENTS
2/3 cup Almond milk
1 tsp Lavender powder
1 tsp Vanilla
1 tsp Cardamom
1 tsp Honey
1/2 tsp Cinnamon
pinch of salt
Pink Moon Milk
INGREDIENTS
1/2 cup 2% milk
1/4 cup tart cherry juice
1 tsp beet powder
2 tsp maple syrup (or honey)
1/2 tsp Cinnamon
pinch of nutmeg
pinch of salt
Once you've chosen which Moon Milk recipe you'd like to make whisk all ingredients together and warm up either on stove top or in microwave. Top with edible flower petals or a dusting of cinnamon
Moon milk alone may not help you snooze, so its always practice good general sleep hygiene, including avoiding screens before bed, keeping your bedroom cool and dark, and sticking to a solid consistent bedtime.
